Witness the true magic of disappearing painted screens with your own eyes. Painted screens' "see-thru" feature made them a popular rowhouse essential before the days of air conditioning. The bonus of privacy afforded from outside onlookers was valued by rowhouse residents as well, while the colorful images became an unique neighborhood treasure.

Anna's Screen art is reminiscent of Balmer's old painted window screens.
